Agreed. The complaints about collation/locale support have been continuous over the years, and it really is quite irritating in certain situations. I got the COLLATE support as far as grammer and executor support but got stuck on the planning and optimiser. Maybe one day I'll get the time to really finish it off properly... (if anyone else wants to have a shot, go for it). One downside of a fast release cycle: fast tree drift :) But I guess you can't really complain about that. Oh yeah, user-defined typmod would be cool. There's some movement on that though.
