You're safe doing this with RH 8.0, but WRT the Phoebe distros,
wise choice NOT to try burning any CDs *unless* they're CDRW disks which you *might be able to erase* in the (Phoebe) betas.

I expect the quality that 7.3 gives for the CDRs, With phoebe3, they burn alright for use on this machine. They don't work for the laptop, the car or at work.
Plus there is the phoebe2 disks that burned, media tested but would not launch a GUI during install. The ones burned on phoebe3 were a little better for this machine, but they were worked lesser on the laptop than phoebe2 discs.
I want to try the "gamma" programs, but I'm finding that something is seriously wrong with the later versions. If it doesn't work good enough for the laptop and lower reader models, it is busted.
I don't know if it is within the kernel, drivers for the cdwriter or the newer versions of the cdrecord programs.
