Hi, (Apologies for sending this twice. The first one I sent awaits moderator approval.)
I just tried to install 8.0.94 on a Vaio from a PCMCIA CDROM with no success because the installer can't talk to the CDROM. My previous Redhat was 7.0 and I got that to work by passing "ide2=0x180,0x386" to the kernel when booting. I tried that with 8.0.94 and it didn't work. Intermediate versions (7.3 and 8.0) manage to find the CDROM without any need to pass the ide2 argument at boot time. The 7.3 and 8.0 installers announce that they are loading PC card drivers just after booting, but for some reason the 8.0.94 installer doesn't. Any advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated. Brian McGurk -- Phoebe-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/phoebe-list
