Release-critical bugs are tracked internally by other means. The priority/severity fields are just whatever the reporter sets, normally. (Well, depending a bit on the developer/circumstances, but in general, those fields aren't actively made accurate.) I'm not saying anything about the release date, just saying that priority/severity fields aren't something you should take too seriously.
