Adding scsi card

Hello! Here is my situation: A friend had a bsd box os drive (two Hd's one data and one OS) fail on him. he took out the data drive and asked if i could mount it and get the data off of it. I am running RH 8.1 with NO scsi drives. It is an adaptec card that i would need to put in the box. What do i do, or this is possible? i assume that insmod would need to be used but other then that i am kinda clueless. can someone walk me through what to do? thanks a lot. I appreciate it. and so will He edit: I am presuming the filesystem would be something like ext2 or ext3 but i don't know. could i turn off an xp box, put in the card, turn on, then have it detect card and get it all setup, then add the HD, is there a util to let XP see BSD ext2 or ext3 drives?   edit2: RH8.1 sees the card (kudzu detected it and config'd upon startup) but i can't seem to mount the drive.  the adaptec bios sees it fine (both card and drive and it assigns D: to drive.) HELP!!! thanks a lot
