I have one of these cards (wpc11 v3) which I use on a dell c800. In my experience, the orinoco_cs driver is not reliable. Instead, I use the linux-wlan driver, built from source on both phoebe and psyche, with excellent results.
You are right about the rpms on http://prism2.unixguru.raleigh.nc.us/rh80/ -- they do not work on phoebe. I built linux-wlan from source (ftp://ftp.linux-wlan.org/pub/linux-wlan-ng/linux-wlan-ng-0.1.16-pre9.tar.gz). To build linux-wlan you will need to have the kernel source installed as well, see ftp://ftp.linux-wlan.org/pub/linux-wlan-ng/README for instructions.

If you prefer to install by rpm, you might be able to rebuild the src.rpm from http://prism2.unixguru.raleigh.nc.us/rh80/. To rebuild the src.rpm I think you will need to have the RH kernel-source rpm (for the kernel you use) installed. Good luck,
