Hi

I have the GNOME weather applet in my panel. I have correctly
configured the weather applet, as well as the GNOME network proxy
settings so that the applet will attempt to retrieve weather information
using my company's proxy server (as it must do to get Internet access
behind my company's firewall).

I believe this worked for me in previous releases (well, probably in
Psyche, anyway), but in Phoebe 3, the weather applet attempts to update
for a long period, then eventually the tooltip shows "Retrieval failed".
Even in Phoebe 3, the weather applet works on my home machine, which
does not use a proxy for Internet access.

1. Has anybody else experienced problems with the GNOME weather applet
from behind a proxy?

2. Can anybody suggest any other applications that use the GNOME 2
network proxy settings so I can test whether the problem is likely to
lie in the weather applet or the GNOME proxy code in general.

Thanks
