Guys,
you may remember a couple months ago or so I asked if any of you knew or had
dealings with Dan Choffness in San Francisco and everyone replied that he
was a first class person to deal with, easing my mind about spending a large
sum of money with someone I did not know. My intended pruchase was a 1928
Edison C-2 Radio/Phonograph, one of two models that played both Diamond
Discs or regular lateral cut records. I would like to add my voice to the
chorus on Dan's behalf. I cannot say enough about the transaction the
transpired between the two of us. He was extremely accomodating, wrapped
the machine very well and suffered through the looooong wait for the pickup
by the mover, one I would never use again. The machine arrived on Halloween
and I am thrilled since I have been looking for this one for years. It
looks better in person than the photographs on Dan's site and the follow-ups
that he sent me. Now for the restoration......if I can stop rubbing on the
case long enough. :-) Thank you Dan!

Bruce

ps. I'm looking for the four albums that go with the Edison C-2.
