I found this nugget of info last night in "The Billy Murray Biography" by Frank Hoffman, Dick Carty and Quentin Riggs
This was a story from Jim Walsh On multiple occasions Len had asked Billy for Len to be his business agent. Billy always replied no. On one of these occasions, Len said: "Very well, Will-yam" Len would reply, with unruffled dignity. "It shall be as you wish. But I give you fair-warning - you'll live to regret your lack of business acumen!"
