Vinyl Visions: Some time back, I had bought a horse racing 12' 78 game off Ebay. The carton is quite dilapidated however, it is still cool and consists of the following: Original game carton, quite dilapidated A 12' 78 record with record jacket By fold game board, depicting the following horses:
1. Man of War 2. Twenty Grand 3. Sea Biscuit 4. Omaha 5. Gallant Fox It is not the Puzzle Record brand name, this is "Phonofinish Horse Racing odds" I have only played it a couple of times and just landed on only 2 different races. Well, I guess that is because of the "odds" *grin* Printed on the game board, is what I presume is the manufacture: Warnershop Chicago 26 At any rate, I thought I would share in your enthusiasm. If anyone has any info regarding my Phonofinish" I would appreciate hearing. The listing was very vague and if you did not look at the picture of the label, you would have no idea of what it was. I was reading the information from the label, which made me believe that it was a puzzle record with different endings. It sounds like it's the same or similar to yours. > From: esrobe...@hotmail.com > To: phono-l@oldcrank.org > Date: Sun, 5 Dec 2010 11:19:34 +0000 > Subject: Re: [Phono-L] Horse Race Puzzle Record > > I have one from Australia from around that time, 12" 78rpm, that has 6 outcomes per side. It is a horse race record - "Which One Wins? Phono-Finish Horse Race - Mysterious and Exciting" by Mason Williams Co., Chicago - 1945. I don't have it yet, and have not heard it. Does anyone know how many different endings there are and if this is actually what I think it is? > > > > Curt > > > > _______________________________________________ > > Phono-L mailing list > > http://phono-l.oldcrank.org > > _______________________________________________ > Phono-L mailing list > http://phono-l.oldcrank.org _______________________________________________ Phono-L mailing list http://phono-l.oldcrank.org No virus found in this incoming message.
