The Sound Box has asked me for an article, so I could do it in both.

Hello Allen and all
I did some research on the net and found the Calaveras County Historical
Society, and placed a call asking if they had any information on an 'Agostini's
Store'. They did. They are currently looking for pictures and info for me on
Rosa Agostini (who sold Edison Phonographs in the store) and the store itself.
For those that don't remember, I recently purchased some old account statements
from one of the Edison Jobbers in San Francisco, Pacific Phonograph Company, to
Ms. Agostini for records, Phonograms, phonographs, parts etc. That got me
started on researching the store for an article for the GSPS newsletter.
Thanks for your helpful suggestions!
John Robles

I was  able to find a link to a California State Wood Landmarks Advisory

Hi,

Yes, on the 'National Register of Historic Places' (or at least an
Application was made for that in 1970). In addition, most cities at that  time
had

annual City Directories, usually listing (snap-shot style) all  local
citizens and commercial enterprises. A note to the local library (in San
Andreas)

might well yield a valid (orig) street address: They may be  interested in
the question because of the pioneering aspect of a woman  acting as an
Edison phonograph dealer (July 10, 1871 - Aug 7, 1946).
