They had a red, white and blue guitar autographed by Bruce Springsteen and a 1974 Cadillac bought a driven by Elvis Presley. Elvis gave the car to his Father who sold it after Elvis died.
The variations in Edison's signatures was fascinating! These were documents that were kept by the grandfather of the man who sold them that worked for Edison. It gave an interesting insight to the inner workings of Edison's day to day world. They had a guy bring in some papers hand written, typed and all signed by the old man himself. One was a note saying to keep paying a past employee because he had always performed well. Another was a note saying to terminate a chemist, because "He wasn't much of a chemist". Another was a note saying that an employee should be given a raise in pay to $90.00. One was signed with his full signature, one with his initials only and the third was simply signed "E".
