Hi, It is fixed in PHP 4.2.0 Look for PHP 4.2.0 at: http://www.php.net/~derick/ Previous Comments: ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-04-08 18:23:53] [EMAIL PROTECTED] To answer derick's post (April 6) about 'nothing being changed': this can't be true! My session code which works absolutely fine in 4.1.1 doesn't work in 4.1.2, nor in the latest Release Candidate 2. Note: I'm talking about Windows here, Linux works fine. What really bothers me is that the bug was mentioned in bug 16043, but was hard to find because it was closed, which it definitely shouldn't be. Also, I completely agree with all posts there: this is a MAJOR bug, and a patch or something should be published! It worked fine in 4.1.1, and now it's broken. DO SOMETHING PLEASE! This bug has lost me a day, and that's about 500 billing dollars where I come from. Thanks a lot... For those of you looking for version 4.1.1 (the one that works, even though it has security risks): http://www.alltheweb.com/search?cat=ftp&cs=iso-8859-1&ftype=6&q=php-4.1.1-Win32.zip Vincent P.S.: I know I shouldn't be posting this here, but I'm really pissed because of beforementioned loss of money... Nothing personal, really. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-04-08 09:13:12] [EMAIL PROTECTED] Just to let people know I am having same bug. I am on Win2K,IIS5,PHP4.1.2 running as CGI File is created but no data is saved. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-04-06 08:13:00] [EMAIL PROTECTED] When updating PHP, remember to always replace the php4ts.dll with the one found in the release package. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-04-06 01:06:10] [EMAIL PROTECTED] Experiencing the same on Win98/Apache1.3.24/PHP4.1.2... Looks like it's really a bug of 4.1.x (?) since I have 4.0.6 and it works fine. By using session_register("var") I can force it to create "var" record in the session data file, but it does not save any value after the variable name. The bug is serious, please, make some feedback on it... ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2002-04-03 04:36:32] [EMAIL PROTECTED] Nothing changed between 4.1.1 and 4.1.2, but you can try php-4.2.0rc1 from www.php.net/~derick if you want. Please report back if this fixes the problem. Derick ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The remainder of the comments for this report are too long.
