I don't know why the script ./configure put the wrong value because after removing the config.cache file and runing again the ./configure, the libtools script was edited correctly... and make compiled correctly the libphp4.so ------------------------------------------------------------------------ [2003-12-10 14:29:13] x-itec at freenet dot de I have no .so library, too. I am on the verge of given up compiling PHP completely. My configure line is: $./configure --with-apxs2=/usr/local/apache2/bin/apxs I am attempting to compile PHP 4.3.3 on Redhat Linux 9. Before "make install" falls over it creates two files in my /usr/local/apache2/modules directory: libphp4.la libphp4.a However no trace of libphp4.so anywhere on my system. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The remainder of the comments for this report are too long.
