If we were to build PHP with symbols enabled and perhaps also provide .pdg and .dbg files (we would have to make sure we always build in c:\php4 or some such) then we could probably make it possible for people without MSVC to create backtraces with just dr watson. Ill have a look into this further and see if it is viable as soon as I get a chance.. Which may be a few days from now.
