Hi! For those impatient to wait for official inclusion, I took gd_lzw_out.c from gd1.5.tar.gz and put it in php-4.3.2. The patch for configure script is not the most beautiful one, but it works for now. In case you developers have not yet included LZW compressed GIF support, feel free to use this.
