[PHP] session question

Hi!
I am trying to learn about sessions and set up this file,

<?
 session_start();
 $fillista = "fillista.xml";
 session_register("SID"."fillista");
 $SID = date("Y F j H:i:s");
 print "SID=".$SID;
?>

This seams not to work on the file fillista.xml, I can still read it
afterwords in IE:s cache. How do I pass the session to a xml-file on
server?
