My guess is that you may need to think about setting up a mail server first before you can get mail functions to work. If you don't know what an SMTP server is, first thing to do is to get to know what it is. You can't send mail without one. First thing: http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/S/SMTP.html I'm not too familiar with what MTA's are out there for windows that are free.
