I've read the manual notes for ini_set, so I have a feeling the answer to my question is no, but I'd like to make sure.
I have no control over my ISP's php.ini file, but the fact that they have session.auto_start set to 1 in php.ini is causing me problems. Is there any way to override this? The manual says that session.auto_start isn't one of the settings that can be manipulated by ini_set, so I'm looking for alternative methods.
