Since we are going to transfer to LiveDocs, and LiveDocs only translates some of the DocBook tags, should we add our own tag reference to the Documentation howto?

Were are we going to do that ? Seems like I have missed something because verybody is talking about livedocs, but still I can't find something new on the subject (a news item saying : it works!)

Wez developed livedocs initially, and then Derick and Ilia added significant amount of code. It was initially intended to be used by the phpdoc people, but then inevitable it became more general with built-in search functionality and much better XHTML/CSS standards compatibility, so it was decided on the 2003 docmeeting that livedocs will be employed on the mirror sites to present the manual.

It still needs some work: there are some sections not parsed by livedocs, and therefore invisible for viewers, and there are some rendering problems. Also it is not built from the start to be poured inside the PHP site layout, so it needs some stuff, but it generally works. You can download a snapshot and try it yourself:

The development CVS server is currently at the company where Wez works, so it is not open for all PHP CVS users. I am trying to persuade him to move the development to cvs.php.net, so others can contribute to the project...

Livedocs also runs live on Alan Knowles' server on peardoc, but I was unable to find a link...
