The mysqli documentation needs to be cleaned up. There was a thread entitled "improving object oriented / procedural combinations" on the doc list about this (http://marc.info/?t=127190344500002&r=1&w=4) The upshot is the following skeleton shows how the DocBook XML should be crafted for oop/procedural combinations: php/phpdoc/doc-base/trunk/RFC/skeletons/method.xml > I think Anthony ("Tony" Bedford) could work on both issues Excellent!
