I have moved data & programs from a PalmPilot (PalmOS 2.0) to a Palm III
(PalmOS 3.0) and vice-versa. I know that there have been some changes
to the built-in programs, but I have not had any problems from this.
(I didn't move Hackmaster, though.) I suspect that since both the Palm
III and Palm V use PalmOS 3, it should not cause you any problems.

Just:
mkdir /tmp/foo
pilot-xfer -b /tmp/foo (Sync old Palm device.)
pilot-xfer -r /tmp/foo (Sync new Palm device.)
Good luck,
