1. try hardware reset - it should reset the digitizer/screen data,
leaving all your programs.

2. if it does not help, do a cleanup (PageUp+hard reset), cleaning all the
programs from memory, then restore everything but the Saved Preferences
database.  You will probably have to enter manually some config/preference
data in other applications, but the digitier info will stay as it should.

I had the same problem long time ago on xcopilot when trying to restore
to it Saved Preferences from the real PalmIII device :)
