Pitivi v0.13.4
Ubuntu Linus 1.0.4

I looked through the PiTiVimanual.pdf but not being a video type some of the
easy stuff escapes me. I have a flash .flv file which I need to open, then
cut into a bunch a small clips and save each individually. Nothing special.
There must be some simple 1-2-3 steps to do this. Something like:

Drag/drop the video.flv onto the ClipLibrary
Drag it onto the video Timeline
Select a start point
Navigate to and select an end point
Save this section as a clip.flv

The closest I've gotten is using Split and Delete from the Timeline menu. I
am seemingly able to delete the extraneous data but when I save/Render it
seems to be saving that area as empty/black space. Please point me to a
simple tutorial if there is one or add/correct my steps. thx.
