You should definitely have an MRI to check for any growth. You should also have a visual fields test done. I would recommend having one at least every 12 months if you have growth or new symptoms. I have visual fields tests every 6-9 months and an MRI every 12 because my pit tumor is 1cm and close to my optic nerve. It is very important to see a neuro-ophthalmologist for a complete exam if you have growth or visual disturbances. I know the tests aren't much fun (trust me, I know), but they are very important to maintaining your vision. Every patient that has been diagnosed with a pit tumor, regardless of size, should have visual fields tests and be seen by a specialist in ophthalmology. Take care. Go get that MRI! Meri |
