----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on Pituitary Chat
----------------------------------------------------------- From: aleahs mom Message 1 in Discussion Hi all, just wondering if anyone can give me any insight on their situation. I will explain mine...I started having miserable headaches late Jan. this year. Went to urgent care after 2 weeks of miserable headaches, they diagnosed me with a sinus infection and sent me on my way. The anti-biotics weren't working so my primary care dr. prescribed new antibiotic. That wasn't helping...so Primary doc. said tension headaches and put me on a pain reliever and an antidepressent (which made me CRAZY), sent me for a CT since I had previous sinus surgery do to a broken nose. The CT read that there was something small on the pit. gland, possibly a cyst. So, I went for an MRI, the MRI came back with a 1.2cm x 1.4 cm tumor. Went to see a neurologist, cause my dr. said that the headaches were a seperate issue. Neurologist said pit tumor was probably causeing headaches because of the size. He sent me to neurosurgeon, and to have blood work, prolactin levels were at 68, so neurosurgeon sent me to endo. The first endo I saw was not my type of person, so I made an appt. with specialist in Phoenix. First endo put me on bromo., so second endo did blood work and after less than two weeks on bromo, my prolactin levels were at 12. So now I have sent my info to Dr. William White in Phoenix and waiting for a call regarding an appt. Sorry long story...My questions, Has anyone seen Dr. White? From your experiences, can you give me an idea on what I might expect? What type of questions should I ask the dr.? I am still having headaches, the first neuro prescribed me percocet, but they just make me sick. The headaches aren't as bad as they were at first, but somedays it is hard to stay at work they get so bad. Can anyone give me their insight, or experiences? I appreciate the help!
