from /etc/rsyslog.d/50-default.conf

*.=debug;\
   auth,authpriv.none;\
   news.none;mail.none -/var/log/debug

Notice the mail.none. I also checked /etc/rsyslog.conf, which doesn't seem to have anything.

Sure, but I was asking what commands in *particular*, in cyrus_2.3.16-hmh are a problem, and what man pages are missing. The 3 ctl_ commands get used in a lot of places, so would be a pain to change (also think of people trying to follow online documentation), and everything else seems to be prefixed with "cyr".
