There is always a reasonable default. Such as sendmail, the reasonable
default is to simply default to "local access only" and not listen
remotely; period.

Yet, many GNU/Linux distributions over the years insisted on asking me
at least three different questions about how sendmail should be
configured.

To me, reasonable default is do nothing, if doing something could be worse :-)

I dunno, I think the world needs more soup (I'm partial to clam chowder myself).
