Perhaps someday, but the current state of things today is you either do
the extra work to integrate to a consolidation and let the pkg team pull
it in with all the other SVR4 packages autoconverted to IPS packages,
or you force the pkg team to do extra work to get your package from
somewhere else - and the more of that you want them to do now, the
less time available to work on a better answer for the future.

I had never seen that page or known it existed until you sent it, so
I don't know.
