The "real" version number should be used for all packages that have one (ON package, for instance, generally don't), but anything coming from consolidations other than ON and SFW haven't been done, because no one's actually gone to the effort of doing this. It's a manual process, and requires manual update each build. I don't know whether David has the bandwidth to do this for all the WOS packages, though perhaps we could automate portions of the process for JDS packages.
