Hi Ram,

Opensolaris is at the moment limited to IPS branded zones. These branded 
zones are very distinct from the global zone and upgrading the packages on 
the global has no effect on the branded zones. Or put another way if you 
update your global zone you need to manually update all the local zones. So 
you don't have local zones (whole or sparse) as you did in s10; or the 
associated issues with adding packages and patching them!

I don't know what the plan is regarding local zones, thats probably 
something you would get more information on from the zones-discus list.
