All,

I have a question as to the procedure for performing an image-update.

When performing an image-update if SUNWipkg needs updating the the whole image update fails and tells the user to update this pkg first and try the image update again. This seems like an implicit confirmation that the user wants SUNWipkg updated. So why doesn't the image-update update this pkg and then update the rest?

I'm running the the latest bits of osol-re and was pleasantly surprised when I saw and icon indicating that updates were available. But when performing this update I ended getting an error message stating that I needed to manually perform an update to SUNWipkg. I'm looking at the end user of this product who might not want or know how to do this. I feel that this breaks the usability model that we are trying to achieve with this product. Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks,

-Rich
