Wouldn't it be in the same heirarchy as evince?
It would make sense, bug evince, in Rich's scheme, has a package name of
gnome2/evince, which is not appropriate for acroread. Then again, I'm not
sure that all the things that are under gnome2 should be there, either.
Note that when I started work on this, I continued on from where Stephen
was at:
http://mail.opensolaris.org/pipermail/pkg-discuss/2009-January/009974.html
so I can't claim to have come up with the initial naming hierarchy.
There, evince is gnome2/evince
and there is no top-level "applications" category. Maybe there
should be. For decisions like this I need to get Stephen and David
and other interested parties in a room to nut these things out.
Unfortunately I've not been able to do that for the Great Renaming yet.
Hopefully after 2009.06 is out the door...
The classification for evince there is Applications/Office, so if you buy
that a PDF viewer is an office app, then I guess it makes sense there.
Any of these seem reasonable to me:
* applications/adobe/reader
* applications/office/adobe/reader
* applications/office/pdf/adobe-reader
* applications/office/adobe-reader
I like either of the last two, but I'd also suggest that Bart adds in an:
"info.keyword" set action, with the value "acroread", or
there is going to be a load of failed package searches.
