I'm sorry I hadn't had a chance to respond to your inquiry from this morning yet, but, I'll assume this post is a continuation of that and that you are inquiring about the "repo-on-a-stick" project.

I've attached the draft README which explains this media offering.

To expound a bit though, there are multiple things that could be viewed as off-line support:

* a copy of the 2009.06 repository suitable for private networks or "offline" usage (see above)

* The ability for the pkg(1) client to retrieve packages from a repository on-disk (estimated to arrive late this year)

* The on-disk package format that pkg(5) will provide (estimated to arrive late this year)
