We would also be interested in intermediate releases. As someone who is
not too familiar with how things work internally in the packaging
server, I am unsure why sharing the other directories available in a
package repository via rsync would not be sufficient to allow full
mirroring. I am assuming here that the format of files on the live
server would be the same as those on the pre-built repositories. If this
isn't the case, where could I find out more about what work would be
required to get an officially supported way of getting a full mirror? Is
there a bug report open, or is it just a case of read all the docs that
are available and go from there?
There are multiple factors involved here, but there is work in progress
to provide pre-built repository ISO images for intermediate releases as
well as the major releases.
That will hopefully happen within the next few months.
