I looked through some of the mail logs and man page for pkg(1). I can't
find a supported way of purging the cruft that is currently in /var/pkg
on my system. I installed my system about 2 dozen builds ago and have
been using 'pkg image-update' to update it as builds were published. I
now have a system with a 32GB root filesystem that contains ~22GB of
cruft in /var/pkg. Since I don't plan on going back to the old boot
environments, I have already destroyed most of them. Is there some
supported method of purging the cached cruft in /var/pkg?
