That's exactly right. Don't tell me it would have worked without the
--be-name!

Indeed, it should have.

Is that a bug or a feature? :-)

The failure message you encountered was intentional, if unhelpful.

If you're referring to something else, you'll have to be explicit.

# pkg image-update --be-name snv134b
Creating Plan /
pkg:
'pkg://opensolaris.org/[email protected],5.11-0.130:20091219T043513Z'

supports the following architectures: i, 3, 8, 6
Image architecture is defined as: sparc

Any suggestions on how to get this to complete?

That looks like a broken package. Either the package is broken, or the
manifest is corrupted.

I'd suggest:

1) taking a ZFS snapshot
2) rm -f /var/pkg/pkg/SUNWxsun-keytables/*20091219T043513Z/manifest*
3) pkg info SUNWxsun-keytables
4) try again

# ls /var/pkg/pkg/SUNWxsun-keytables/*20091219T043513Z/manifest*
ls: cannot access
/var/pkg/pkg/SUNWxsun-keytables/*20091219T043513Z/manifest*: No such
file or directory
# ls /var/pkg/pkg/SUNWxsun-keytables/

0.5.11%2C5.11-0.128%3A20091125T050729Z
# pkg info SUNWxsun-keytables
Name: SUNWxsun-keytables
Summary:
State: Installed
Publisher: opensolaris.org
Version: 0.5.11
Build Release: 5.11
Branch: 0.105
Packaging Date: Thu Jan 08 20:47:51 2009
Size: 0.00 B
FMRI:
pkg://opensolaris.org/[email protected],5.11-0.105:20090108T204751Z

If it is a broken package, does that mean no one else has tried to
do an image-update for SPARC for this release? Hard to believe!
I hope you have some other things to try :-).

I find it suspicious that you have a package from build 105 installed.

Send me the output of 'pkg list' and 'pkg publisher' privately.

Thanks,
-Shawn
