You should be removing auto_install.p5m, server_install.p5m, and
slim_install.p5m as well, since they're older names of these packages.

Done. Looking at the others there - there is the babel_install.p5m
which has a dependency upon slim_install and so looks to be another
candidate for removal - and so I have removed it.

Webrev:

https://cr.opensolaris.org/action/browse/onnv/petede/group_package_ownership/webrev/

And I think this is the case, but can you confirm that the mere removal of
the manifests causes them to disappear from ips-incorporation?

yeap that is correct - I noticed this and we will need to ensure
that the packages are incorporated into the RE incorporation
(comment in 7167737 is there to reflect that).

Yes, I have the packages in my RE src workspace and our script modified to add them to the RE incorporation.

And I also guess that the above removed packages (auto_install,
server_install, slim_install and babel_install) should actually
be put in within the RE consolidation as opposed to being deleted
completely.

I'm not convinced. If these are obsolete and will never be changed or touched, I don't know what the benefit would be to now adding them to the RE consolidation, since they already exist in the S11 release repository as part of the IPS consolidation.

provide a pointer to your built workspace?
