Hi IPS Experts On a particular S11 GA system I have a package archive file, ac-archive.p5p, that seems to contain a corrupt package that has multiple duplicated entires for many of it's files. Here is an example of one of them:
# pkg list entire NAME (PUBLISHER) VERSION IFO entire 0.5.11-0.175.0.0.0.2.0 i-- # pkg contents -m -g ac-archive.p5p [email protected] | grep ib_showvnics.pl file 0466fed613a9f2cdacfd6680ce05948eabc5b0a8 chash=e375e9eb697def956b2caea2eb3be64f34dcabdf group=sys mode=0755 owner=root path=opt/sun/n1gc/bin/ib_showvnics.pl pkg.csize=1789 pkg.size=6578 file 0466fed613a9f2cdacfd6680ce05948eabc5b0a8 chash=e375e9eb697def956b2caea2eb3be64f34dcabdf group=sys mode=0755 owner=root path=opt/sun/n1gc/bin/ib_showvnics.pl pkg.csize=1789 pkg.size=6578 file 0466fed613a9f2cdacfd6680ce05948eabc5b0a8 chash=e375e9eb697def956b2caea2eb3be64f34dcabdf group=sys mode=0755 owner=root path=opt/sun/n1gc/bin/ib_showvnics.pl pkg.csize=1789 pkg.size=6578 # pkg contents -m -g ac-archive.p5p [email protected] | wc -l 555 # digest -a sha1 ac-archive.p5p 36b79b4c160c940f29e5fa61c8535a83d7bdfb69 If I copy this same p5p file to another S11 GA system I don't see these issues: #xvm-x4150-4:/tmp[28]% pkg list entire NAME (PUBLISHER) VERSION IFO entire 0.5.11-0.175.0.0.0.2.0 i-- #xvm-x4150-4:/tmp[29]% pkg contents -m -g ac-archive.p5p [email protected] | grep ib_showvnics.pl file 0466fed613a9f2cdacfd6680ce05948eabc5b0a8 chash=e375e9eb697def956b2caea2eb3be64f34dcabdf group=sys mode=0755 owner=root path=opt/sun/n1gc/bin/ib_showvnics.pl pkg.csize=1789 pkg.size=6578 #xvm-x4150-4:/tmp[30]% pkg contents -m -g ac-archive.p5p [email protected] | wc -l 450 #xvm-x4150-4:/tmp[31]% digest -a sha1 ac-archive.p5p 36b79b4c160c940f29e5fa61c8535a83d7bdfb69 What could be the issue here? Unfortunately this corruption gets passed to our local IPS repo when we push the contents of the p5p to it. thanks Dave --- David Sechrest Phone: (408) 276-5800 x15800 Systems Management Email: [email protected] Oracle Corporation _______________________________________________ pkg-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/pkg-discuss
