Hi, an upcoming package (gavodachs, ITP #870457) depends on the availability of certain postgres extensions (q3c, pgsphere). However, there are only extension packages depending on specific Postgresql versions. Currently, the dependency is now written as
Depends: postgresql-9.6-pgsphere | postgresql-9.4-pgsphere | [...], postgresql-9.6-q3c | postgresql-9.4-q3c | [...], etc. This is a bit unfortunate, since it makes it difficult to do a postgres transition, or a backport of the package. Is there already a solution for this? Shall I use Provides: postgresql-pgsphere for all versionized extension packages?
