I repeatedly encounter this problem. When I log into GNOME, pulseaudio often does not start as it should. I generally have to try to start pulseaudio several times from the shell in order to not get this error message. I am now using 2.6.26-rc8, so this may have an effect on the bug. Looking at the source code doesn't tell me anything interesting, except that pa_source_post fails gracefully if s->thread_info.state is opened, but not running. That might be a better way to handle this problem. I also see the message W: protocol-native.c: Failed to push data into queue sometimes; I don't know if this is related. -- brian m. carlson / brian with sandals: Houston, Texas, US +1 713 440 7475 | http://crustytoothpaste.ath.cx/~bmc | My opinion only troff on top of XML: http://crustytoothpaste.ath.cx/~bmc/code/thwack OpenPGP: RSA v4 4096b 88AC E9B2 9196 305B A994 7552 F1BA 225C 0223 B187
