I tried more hackes and kind of fixed the bug, although I am not sure
whether that is the right way to do it. The main problem is an advice
defined in planner-multi. I will send you a patch after I am more freed
up, and maybe you can review and see whether that can be merged into the
trunk along with your work.

Yes, it needs a lot of fixing. I made some progress a while back but it fell by
the wayside. I do plan to fix it.
