I think I wold agree. I've only posted to this list a couple of times
because pretty much everything I wanted was available i the manual and it
wasn't hard to work out how to set things up. I remember only one issue I
had problems with and suspect it was misconfiguration on my part.

Yes, I agree that was rather unfortunately put. I personally have had no
maintenance issues with planner mode and in fact, was seriously considering
unsubscribing form this list because, to be honest, I've not been paying
much attention to it. Planner mode has just worked for me and while I've
noticed package updates come through, I've not noticed any impact or any
negative aspects.
