And no, I am not going to pick and choose based on whatever criteria I think, but if we are heavy on the asterisk jockeys, with a few shell coders, and lean on the C, Perl, etc side, we need to understand what that means in terms of how we go about this. Frankly, I think it might very well be possible to do this all using shell scripts, cron jobs and the dialplan. Not sure that is the best way, though. That is what I am hoping to discover.
