@z thanks @marco: >not sure i agree on opening the menu on just mouse over, would bring a ton of accidental opens and maybe a bit annoying
Personally, I like this behaviour (eg in Lancelot) but perhaps it is not for everyone. Note that at the moment a tooltip pops up anyway. >open a Plasma::dialog I'll go that way, you may have saved me some time, that wasn't what I was doing. @aaron >you mean like the tooltip that shows up over non-grouped items? Not really - this is like an auxiliary task-manager for the group... perhaps a mock-up... http://maninalift.blogspot.com/2009/02/crappy-schematic.html There you go. The main thing is it behaves just like the task-bar. >>(2) left-click peforms bring to front/minimise/restore action on whole group >i'm not sure that this is the common use case for left click on a group? >in the case of manual grouping ... i could see that. but for automatic >grouping, i don't think so. Yes mostly useful for manual grouping. If the group pops-out on hover, the left-button is free to do something else and this seems like the logical action. >as Marco noted, having this look like the left click menu would be nice. The intention is to have *no* left-click menu. (the group task-manager popup thing replaces that). Personally I prefer the KDE menu to the plasma menu.
