I was also wondering about the separate button but unsure where to place it, 
especially since on the lock screen we have one in the list, or what should 
happen when there aren't any sessions running.

I can navigate using the arrow keys left and right and then press Return to 
activate the current selection. If there's more, it just scrolls out to the 
right side. There's no indication but this is a common issue with our current 
theme, on the lock screen we've also had people complain about their buttons 
gone missing although they were just scrolled outside the view. We need a 
(good-looking) solution for this in general.
