ok, my intention is to (initially) write a plex86 plugin that should handle the
complete
VBE extension (as previously suggested on the mailinglist). This way I won't need to
specify a "vbe bios" <-> "host" communication "protocol", since the plugin will just
conform to the vbe spec (but instead of being 'called' by an int 10h instruction, it
will
react to outputting something to a specific port. And I need a plugin anyway, because
it
won't be possible to have a linear framebuffer otherwise. I'll see if I can get
something
small working (with the plugin) this week.

that sounds logical, I already subscribed to the bochs mailinglist a few days ago to
see
what's going on there too.
