I was already working on this when you sent this e-mail. I now have a
box building Plex86 from CVS hourly. This is accessible from:
http://cartman.ritc.co.uk/~chris/plex86
Original, virgin source code and my prebuilt binaries for RedHat 6.2 (and
hopefully other systems) are available. Please let me know if you have any
comments/questions about these files, especially if the binary tarballs
work (or not) on non-RedHat systems.
