Thanks for the effort thus far. I'm really not big on pre-built
binaries. Compiling, configuring, and reading through docs
(which are of course quite spartan right now) are important
parts of the testing process right now. Binaries are useless
without some of the other framework. And they allow people
to avoid being part of the process.
Additionally, they are targeted for one verion of one OS.
We are not in the "here's some binaries, give it a spin" phase.
We have to resist the urge to "jump the gun".
What I'm looking for is a site which handles CVS -> tarball
for a random OSS project. One where you could specify options
to CVS to download particular versions etc. Otherwise, it
makes more sense for me to run a simple script and generate
a current tarball to upload to the FTP site. But this gives users
no flexibility.
