On the plex mailinglist I noticed some confusion about the status
of the CDROM support of plex. My experiences are very positive.
Just add
bochs-opt cdromd: dev=/dev/cdrom, status=inserted
(note status=INSERTED)
and place a cd in the caddy.
Create a win98 recovery floppy (control panel->software->make startup
disk)
and boot this flop with plex.
Choose option 1 (boot with CD support)
and windows98 will see and use your atapi drive!
